Reassurances for my Brothers and Sisters in Christ
John 15:18-19
If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would loved you as it's own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
Yes Yes tough world we are having. Not sure if the God we believe in is true or not. If so why so much bad things happened? Innocent lives taken each day. War, Plagues , Crimes , Diseases, Natural Disasters, Accidents, Family problems, friendship problems, Bullies.... yar ....the list goes on....Seems to be no end to the Bad things we have. It's makes us wonder if there is a God out there to call to or not. Yes.... but all this has been predicted. All was there for a reason. The reason was sin. Yes. This brings us to Genesis.
Genesis 3:6-11
When the woman saw the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye , and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened.and they realized they were naked; so the sew fig leaves together and make coverings for themselves.
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, they hid from the Lord Godamong the trees of the garden.But the Lord God called to the man. " where are you?"
He answered " I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid"
And he said,"who told you that you were naked?Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"
In the beginning, God and man can see each other. The was also this Garden of Eden where lies the Tree of Life and the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. God commanded that both man and woman can eat any fruits in the Garden except for the fruit of the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. Note that God did not forbade man or woman to eat the fruit from the Tree of Life which grants immortality. We can say that God knew that humans are not ready yet to eat the fruits of the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. However tempted by the serpent, both ate the fruit from the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil. Their eyes were open to all knowlegde yes....you can say it's a good thing...after all it is good to know right? But the thing is that the knowledge given does not only includes Good Knowlegde. It also includes bad knowledge. Still they have misused the trust given to them. In a way they betrayed / backstabbed God. God went to the Garden and called for man. However soon discovered that they ate the fruit. Then God said, not thundered, not rubuked nor barked.God said "who told you that you were naked?Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" Man however did not apologised but pushed the blame. SO you see the trouble. God and man had a special relationship. For man is made in the image of God. However man disobeyed God. Did something to hurt himself. not only that. They avoided God.Breaking the relationship. between God and Man. That Breaking of Relationship is known as Sin.
In Biblical History God has in many way attempt to guide man for man had knowlegde but not wisdom. However man broke relations with God and continue to spiral to destruction by following what seem right to them. They then blamed their sufferings on God when God had been they all the time being rejected by them. It was written.
John 15:25b
They hated me without a reason.
In the End, God came and died for us. He took all our sins so that we no longer be separated from him. Still there is a catch. We must accept him as God. Which many had failed to do so.
Since man not having wisdom , tried to make thing good with his knowledge. Without wisdom and having rejected God's aid, man make a mess out of almost everything. Man tried to do good , however without wisdom , nothing much came out of it. Instead man causes more pain for himself. War , Terror, Police, Robbery, Religon, cults, everything good or bad. Done for a reason that seems Good but had however harmed many others.
In life we try to do good and people around us also try to do good but knowingly or unknowingly, we often indirectly hurt others. That's why so much pain is around.
